At the show my dad finally got two jewel orchids. Macodes Phtola and Ludisia Discolor v. Alba Jewel- Emerald Green Leaf.

From top to bottom, Tolumnia Genting pink lady, Tolumnia Genting volcano, Tolumnia red berry. I think i'm hooked on these! They're so fun!

New orchids: Maxillaria sanguenea “Pololei”

I got several new orchids at this show and now my case is almost full and my wallet almost empty! Orchids are an expensive hobby, especially if your not old enough to work yet. This one has a really nice fragrance.

oh where, oh where did my little bloom go...

I've had this plant for almost 6 months and this bloom opened soon after I got it. The plant must of wanted to make up for the lost buds because it has been blooming strongly since. At the same time it grew a huge new leaf and a lot of roots.
I love these flowers and was getting quite used to it being around when it finally dropped off. I will just have to wait until the next spike. :(

I bought these on ebay, and 2 or 3 weeks after paying for them, like magic, the cuties show up still damp in a box that labels them "silk gloves."
